Alfred T. Rossi, SRA
Alfred T. Rossi, SRA, began appraising real estate in 1983 and currently holds a New York State residential real estate appraisal certification. In addition, he is licensed as a real estate broker in New York State. Al earned his residential appraisal designation in 1987 from the Appraisal Institute and continues to be active in that organization at the local, regional and national levels.
Before entering the appraisal field full time, Al worked as a real estate sales person and was a part-time assessor in the Town of Canandaigua. He has also served the town as a member of its Assessment Review Board.
He specializes in appraisals for mortgages, PMI removal, estates, relocations, appraisal reviews, REO, small income properties and other complex types of residential property appraisals. He is an approved appraiser for HUD and has provided testimony as an expert witness in various courts. As a resident of the Canandaigua area, he has extensive experience in the appraisal of many unique lakefront properties in the Finger Lakes, including a significant number of small commercial properties.
Al has been an appraisal course instructor at Finger Lakes Community College and has conducted several appraisal-related seminars. He is a member of the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors, the New York State Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the Monroe County Assessor's Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Employee Relocation Council.
