Christopher S. Tillett, MAI, SRA

 

Christopher S. Tillett, MAI, SRA, began his training as a real estate appraiser in 1982. He earned the residential SRA designation in 1987 and received the profession's commercial counterpart, the MAI designation, in 1989 at age 28.

 

Chris has completed appraisals on all property types in most areas of Upstate New York and portions of Pennsylvania. A New York State general certified real estate appraiser, he appraises office, commercial, industrial, apartment and special purpose-type properties.

 

A leader in the appraisal profession, Chris sat on the national board of directors for the Appraisal Institute, chaired the Appraisal Technology Subcommittee, and sat on the national Nominating Committee. He is a past president of the Upstate New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, representing the group as a regional director for five years. Chris's community service includes chairing the City of Rochester Board of Assessment Review for eight of his 10 years of service.

 

Chris's appraisal assignments focus largely on lending work on all property types, including special use and low income housing tax credit properties. He has also provided numerous consulting services, including tax and audit valuations, appraisal reviews, property tax appeals, pricing decisions, feasibility and market analysis, and litigation support. He has worked on all types of estates and interests, including fee simple, leased fee, leasehold, development rights and partial interests.
